This is an exquisite, very large and beautifully hand coloured Albertus Seba print, 1750, Large Folio Print. Python Snake 104, in EXCELLENT condition.

Antique Folio Copper Plate Published Amsterdam 1734-65 for "Locupletissimi rerum naturalium thesauri accurata descriptio" By Albertus Seba. Good paper, reverse side blank. Centre fold as issued. With fine, later hand colour. Important, scarce work. Tiny, unobtrusive pinhole to bottom of image. Very minor wrinkles near centre fold.
Albertus Seba was a Dutch pharmacist, zoologist and collector. His early work on taxonomy and natural history influenced Linnaeus.
