A beautiful copperplate engraving of a Ptarmigan bird, from Thomas Pennant's 1766 Large Folio "The British Zoology", 1st Edition. Published in London, 1766. Drawn by Peter Paillou, and engraved by Peter Mazell. Fine hand colour as issued. A Few background pinholes which will be unnoticable once matted, slight toning at the edges, otherwise Excellent quality!
