This is an exceptionally beautiful, in good condition mezzotint print revealing lush blacks and textures distinctive to this print technique. This portrays the "The Spanish Lady", as painted by Sir David Wilkie, and engraved by W. Greatbach. This is a beautiful example of exoticism in art, and the west's fascination with the Spanish mystique. Printed on heavy cotton rag, this print is a exemplary of the mezzotint style. There is slight age foxing and spotting on the lower left, though not in the image. Please see photo.
